Lifeline Vascular Care works with premier physician practices to develop and manage outpatient centers that provide focused and coordinated vascular access procedures to patients receiving hemodialysis treatment for end-stage renal disease (ESRD). We currently manage more than 40 physician-owned vascular access centers where we provide physician practices with financial and outcomes reporting, staffing and training, facility operations, regulatory compliance, and insurance billing services. The Lifeline network of managed vascular access centers is accredited by the Joint Commission.

DESCRIPTION Medical Assistant

We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant for immediate placement in our Sound Vascular & Vein ASC located 32014 32nd Ave S, Federal Way, WA 98001. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, cardiac catheterization; experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus.

The Medical Assistant will perform patient care activities under the supervision of an RN and/or physician. Gather pre-treatment patient data, monitor patient and medications during procedures, maintain prescription drug logs, and provide assistance to the clinical team during pre- and post-procedure activities. This is a challenging, fast-pace job with Monday to Friday schedule, nights and weekend shifts. Access Center hours Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Employment at Lifeline Vascular Care is contingent on successful completion of pre-employment screening and background check.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Verfifies insurance eligibility obtains PCP referrals and authorizations for each insurance the patient has in advance of every appointment and documents communication with insurance companies in the scheduling system.

Correctly selects appropriate insurance payors in the patient's electeronic chard and prioritizes accurantely for billing. Works closely with the ROPS department on billing.

Verifies and enters accurate patient demographic information into the scheduling system.

Schedules appointments to maximize patient service and optimize patient schedule. Prioritizes incoming referrals and accommodates same day emergency add-on procedures.

Provides appointment reminder calls in advance of appointments and track no-show or cancellations. Completes patient registration and check-in procedures.

Take patient vitals, prepare patients for physician’s care, operating medical equipment as required.

Serves as liaison between physicians and referring facilities ensuring medical procedure results are forwarded to dialysis facility and or referring physician.

Performs administrative support activities including answering and routing calls, correspondence, filing, faxing, mailing

Participates in community education activities and programs.

Other duties as assigned.
